[DS] Fraser/Thatcher train joy

Fic: "Blushing Pilgrims" [xover with Slings & Arrows]

Title: Blushing Pilgrims
Author: icepixie
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1370
Pairings: Fraser/Thatcher, Geoffrey/Ellen
Summary: Meg Thatcher is not a fan of Romeo and Juliet. However, on a trip to New Burbage with Constable Fraser, she finds a few reasons to reevaluate her opinion.

(She is not going to cry. She is far too old, and anyway, it's more of a cliché than she can bear, crying at the end of Romeo and Juliet.)

primroseburrows suggested I post here, so:

DS Blah Stare

Looking for this fic...

I tried the fic finders com but they seem mostly of a certain slash group and this fic I'm looking for is Fraser/Thatcher so I thought looking here may be more useful.

So it's Fraser/Thatcher (eventually) and RayK/Stella (eventually) though at some point late on Vecchio turns up. There's this scene where Dief comes into the 27 and Ray can understand him, and they realise that not only is Dief hurt but this means Fraser is and they try to find him.

Ermmm, there's some sort of event at the consulate and either one or both of the boys are helping to waiter it (it seems) and there's some discussion on edible flowers.

So eventually Fraser and Thatcher start going out and they get pretty serious until they move into a house together that's near RayK and Stella (Tatcher and Stella became friends, I'm pretty sure).

It's not recent, last I read it was a while back and it wasn't on LJ or the main DS archive either. I have tried looking for it all over the place but no one knows it. I tried fic finders but most people there seem to be slash fans and so don't know it. I'll admit, this is an odd pairing for me but....

Oh, and I don't think it was all in one go, it was split into a few fics. For some reason I'm thinking pictures of wolves, black and green like those old web pages but I'm not 100% on it.

Please help me fraser_thatcher , you're my only hope.

A question....

I'm just curious to know how people found the Meg of Series 3/4 compared with the Meg of series 2?

Personally, as much as I love Meg (and Camilla), I prefer her character in Series 2.

Series 2 Meg to me was much more of a leader.  She was confident and capable of handling herself without floundering in the face of an authority figure.  Compare the Meg of  "Red, White or Blue" to the Meg of "Perfect Strangers" and it's like they are two different characters.  Series 2 Meg punched an FBI agent in the face without a thought!  She would have stood up to the General without needing any intervention from a junior officer.

I think I liked the fact that she was the one woman who didn't fawn all over Fraser from the moment they met.  She treated him almost with disdain and he had to work to get past her defences and earn her respect.  Part of me wonders if this was one of the reasons Fraser was attracted to her.

Meg in Series 2 was a strong, confident woman with a hidden vulnerability (We are the Eggmen, All the Queens Horses etc), by contrast the Meg of Series 3/4 was almost the complete opposite - the old Meg showed herself on occasion but as a rule....yeah..

Don't get me wrong, I love Meg and Meg/Ben and will defend them always!

Original ending to COTW

I just realized that a link to the original scripted ending to "Call of the Wild" was never posted here. Given what that ending was, I figured it should be. ;)

The Incident?

Anyone got any ideas what the "incident" was that Sgt Thorne mentioned in MOTB?

Welsh looked very intrigued!

Ideas anyone?

As if proof was needed....

I've just been randomly google-ing Thatcher/Fraser and this link popped up - http://www.trailsbc.ca/southwest_region/hope.asp

Key section being -

Follow 6th Avenue southward to the Recreation Centre. Just before continuing, take a look at an extraordinary wall mural  inside swimming pool area. Proceed between the buildings eastward to a forested park behind the Centre. From here a trail will be signed leading to the bridge on Kawkawa Lake Road. Cross the bridge and turn immediately north on Union Bar Road to the Sucker Creek Fish Enhancement area, the Thatcher Fraser Valley Regional Park.
